Obituary

Reba Aileene Cook, age 86 of Clinton, TN went to be with the Lord Friday, June 29, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church where she maintained her Sunday School's ministry of sending cards to the sick and elderly. Her cards were a bright spot in numerous people's lives.

She was preceded in death by husband, Danty Thurmon (D.T.) Cook; daughter, Linda Stooksbury and husband Wayne; mother Esta Bernice Daniels; parents Roy and Aline Disney; brothers Chandler Disney and Ernest Disney; and in-laws Ezra and Minnie Cook.

She is survived by sons, Larry E. Cook (Katie), David C. Cook (Susie), Dana L. Cook (Carol), Kenneth W. Cook (Gail) and T. Dwayne Cook; sister Lorene Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

She was Mamaw Cook to grandchildren, Tammy Belcher (Jimmy), Deanna Cook, Jeffery Batson (Heather), Chrystall Wade (Nick), Adam Cook, Adrienne Burleson (Greg), Lindy Reeverts, Lexie Scott (Chris), Vonda Holder (Steve), Brian Stooksbury (Mary), Jennifer Gardner (Kyle), Johnathan Cook (Kim), Daniel Cook, Alicia Shelton (Joe), Kevin Cook (Shannon), Danny Cook, Lauren Lowe (Sam), and 30 great-grandchildren.

She loved to quilt and her quilts were a treasure to anyone that received them. She was an angel on earth and an inspiration to everyone that knew her.

The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5-7 pm with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm with Rev. Mack Smith officiating. Her graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
