Obituary

Pelham Franklin Andrews passed peacefully into the arms of God on December 23, 2018 at the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home at the age of 95.  Pelham was born April 23, 1923 and was a 1941 graduate of Clinton High School where he was a member of the basketball team and Captain of the football team.  He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and proudly served his country.  He served in the National Guard for 17 years and retired from the US Postal Service.

Pelham was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Faith Andrews and his mother, Lela G. Miller.

He is survived by sons: Bill Andrews & Becky of Clinton
Phil Andrews & wife Patti of Powell

Grandchildren: Phillip Andrews & wife Krystal of Knoxville
John Andrews & wife Heather of Knoxville
Robert Andrews of South Carolina
Brad Andrews of Johnson City, TN
Ben Andrews of Knoxville

Great Grandchildren: Wyatt, Braden, Olivia & Aubrey all of Knoxville.

The family extends a special Thank You to the Clinton Fire Department that responded many times to Pelham's residence to assist him when he would fall and to the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home for showing such compassion and treating him with the utmost honor and respect.

Family and friends will meet Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM to go in procession to Sunset Cemetery for a graveside service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tim Thomas officiating.  Full military honors will be provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
