Mrs. Peggy Jean Turpin, age 71, of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away on September 20, 2017, at Parkwest Medical Center. Mrs. Turpin was born August 17, 1946, in Heiskell, Tennessee. Peggy loved to do anything outdoors but especially enjoyed gardening, cleaning, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a giving heart and will be known for the love she had as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard Herman Ridenour and Dixie Humphrey Ridenour; and brothers, James and Leonard Ridenour, all of Heiskell, Tennessee; and sister Janice Goforth, of Holladay, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband Steve Turpin; daughters Sherrie (Lee) Ashmore of Clinton, and Tammy (Scott) Whittaker of Maryville; and grandchildren, Brandi Allen, Derek and Noah Jones, and Aliah Ashmore. Surviving siblings are brothers, Vaughn (Carolyn) Ridenour, Harry (Janet) Ridenour, Larry (Georgia) Ridenour, Dewane Ridenour, Bobby (Susan) Ridenour, and Jackie (Connie) Ridenour; and sisters Rhonda (Wayne) Hatmaker and Debbie (Tom) Barton;

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, from 6 – 8 pm, at Holly Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with services to immediately follow. Grave site services will be at Bethel Cemetery, Clinton, Tennessee, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 23.
