Peggy Carter Hooks, age 57, of Jacksboro, passed away September 10, 2015. She was a member of Corbin Hill Baptist Church in Morgan County. She enjoyed quilting and canning. Her greatest love though was her family and being a foster mother. Peggy was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Ola Stewart Carter; grandmothers, Alley Smith and Katherine Carter; father in-law, Rev. George Hooks; brother in-law, Glen Jones; sister in-law, Lois Hooks.

Daughters: Peggy Ward and Ola McVay and husband Chip, all of Clinton
Mother in-law: Imogene Hooks of Oliver Springs
Sisters: Ruby Flatford and husband Doyle and Irene Jones of Clinton, JoAnn Shetterly and husband Roger of LaFollette
Brother: Troy Carter and wife Pat of Clinton
Brother in-laws: Sammy Hooks of Oliver Springs, Jackie Hooks of Dutch Valley, James Hooks of Oliver Springs and Rev. Mike Hooks of Roane County.
Grandchildren: Josh, Jacob and Caleb Ward, and Justin Stooksbury

Family will receive friends at the family home from Saturday, September 12th through Monday, September 14th and then from 12-2PM on Tuesday, September 15th at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top. Funeral service will begin at 2:00PM with Rev. Mike Hooks and Rev. Jerry Thornton officiating. Graveside service will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton, TN.
