Peggy Dianne Breeden, born January 4, 1948, went to be with God on December 11, 2024, at the age of 76. Peggy lived in Green Valley, Arizona, and was formerly of Knoxville and Kingston, Tennessee. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Edgar (Jerry) Breeden and Marjorie Kathleen Patterson Breeden; her brother, Jerry Lynn Breeden; her favorite grandmother, Josephine (Josie) Moree Patterson; and other grandparents.

Peggy is survived by her children, Bryan Burnett and Jennifer Darby; her daughter-in-law, Candis Burnett; her grandson, Tennessee Darby; her sister, Linda Hendricks; her nephews, Charles Breeden and Brian Burnett; her nieces, Sherry Breeden-Patterson, Heather Bailey, Robin Haltom, and Erin Burnett; her great-nephews, Dylan (wife, Hadyln) and Dalton Bailey, Alex McKinney, and Brody and Nolan Haltom; several cousins, including Martha Jo, Patsy, Barbara, Ann, Betty Jo, Pat, Shirley, Earl, Mary Joyce, and Jane; and several great-great-nephews and nieces. She is also survived by several close friends, including Joy Westmoreland, Sharon Carney, Andy and Denise Sendry, Mona Bullard, and Alyce Silvey.

Peggy was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School, attended Tennessee Wesleyan University, and earned a Bachelor of Education degree at East Tennessee State University. She later earned her Master of Education degree at the University of Tennessee. She taught school at several different locations but spent most of her teaching career in the Roane County School System. She played basketball throughout high school and college and was a little on the wild side when it came to riding her four-wheeler. She loved traveling and getting to explore new places, was a connoisseur of food, and took pride in being an American. We will all miss her smile and her often silly antics, as she loved a good joke or prank.

The family and friends will meet on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, at 10:00AM for a funeral service at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Peggy's interment will be held at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. www.holleygamble.com
