Paul Bernard Loiseau, Jr. , 62, of Anderson County lost his valiant fight against cancer on November 11, 2012. Paul was born August 1, 1950, at Cape Girardeau, MO to Paul Bernard Loiseau, Sr. and Dorothy Kissling England.
He was a Lieutenant in the NOAA Corps, where he conducted research as an oceanographer, and later a professional engineer who served TVA for 32 years until his retirement in 2010. Of his many professional accomplishments, he was particularly proud of his engineering work on the Norris Dam weir and the Ocoee Olympic Model; both projects are lasting monuments to his creative mind and the practical application of his professional skills. Paul coached girls' basketball teams, served on numerous civic boards, and was a volunteer firefighter. He was also a collector of all things mechanical, could design and build just about anything and was happiest spending time with his family and friends at their home on Pumpkin Hollow Road or their farm at Watts Bar Lake.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Robin Allen Loiseau, his daughters, Amy Loiseau Funnell and Holly Loiseau Cagney, their husbands, David Funnell and Christopher Cagney, and three grandchildren he doted on, Aja and Blake Funnell, and Corbin Loiseau. He is also survived by his brother, Robert J. Loiseau, their stepmother, Marge Loiseau Bauerle, and his mother-in-law, Martha Allen.
In addition to his immediate survivors, Paul's life was blessed by loving relationships with many friends and family members, especially with brothers-in law Larry, Rodney, Bobby, and Richard, and his nieces and nephews Jessica, Amy, Cierra, Brandi, Alicia, Bethany, Bradley, and Russell. Paul's life was also blessed by loving relationships with his aunts and uncles, and with many cousins and their spouses and children.
Services for Paul will be held at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, 621 S. Charles Seivers Blvd. on Tuesday, November 12th. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 5:00 and the service will be held at 7:30. A private burial service will be held.
