Patty Faye Pointer Taylor, age 68, of Oak Ridge, passed away at her residence on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Patty was born on April 4, 1958, to the late Oscar and Hazel Pointer. She loved cooking, especially preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for her family. Patty treasured the Christmas season, particularly the beautiful lights, and she delighted in anything related to Mickey Mouse. She also enjoyed trips to the beach, but above all, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Giles and Polly Willett, and her stepson, Christopher Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Jerry Wayne Taylor; sons, Mike Townsend, Wayne Taylor II, Jonathan Davis, DJ Taylor, and wife Heather, Jessie Davis, and wife Rachel, Wesley Taylor, and wife Kim, and Cody Taylor; 25 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Brooks and husband Mike, and Penny Ethridge & husband Randy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel, with interment immediately afterward at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
