Patricia "Patty" L. Proffitt, age 55, of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2015, in her home, surrounded by friends and family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend to many. She was always willing to give selflessly to those in need and is already greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, George B. Comer; mother, Edith Mae Comer (Winchester); sisters, Brenda Gail Marple and Debra Faye Bolton. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roger K. Proffitt; daughter, Summer Proffitt Perkey and husband Jay Perkey; sister, Valerie Fateley; brother, Gary Comer; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton on Tuesday, December 22nd from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd beginning at Noon in the funeral home chapel and will be immediately followed by interment services at Anderson Memorial Gardens
