Opal J. Lawson Portwood, age 94 went home to be with her Lord on April 3, 2016. She was a longtime resident of Clinton, TN. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church, Lenoir City, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother.
She will always be remembered as a praying and Godly mother by her family and friends.

She is preceeded in death by her parents; Abraham and Elizabeth Brown; husbands: Thomas Lawson and John Portwood; brothers: Earl, Lee, Gilbert, Sherman (Specks), Thomas (Buck) and George Brown; sisters: Willie Brown, Ida Richards, Mary Marple, Bertha (Marie) Ridings and Johnnie Weaver.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Brother Eddie Chasteen and Brother Jim Seaton officiating.
