Obituary

Onah June Stair Fox, 90, passed away at her Franklin home surrounded by friends and family the last week of her life on earth. She was born in the Blowing Springs community and lived in Clinton 87 years. In her three years living in Franklin she made many cherished friends. Onah was married to the late Fred Fox. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton and enjoyed keeping the two year olds in the nursery. Onah loved Clinton and she walked the city daily as she enjoyed speaking to everyone. She also liked sports and her bowling team. The team bowled all over the United States and sported the latest in fashion with matching outfits. She worked over 40 years at Union Carbide/Martin Marietta in Purchasing. Onah lived most of her life on Delta Street and usually played pitcher for both teams in backyard baseball. She loved the "Delta Gang" expressing it by sharing food and organizing an occasional hayride. She had a zest for life and a joyful, spunky spirit that will be missed. She loved her family and there are a lot of them to love.

In addition to her husband, Fred, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Fox; parents, Virgil and Edna Stair; sisters: Mary Wilson, and Juanita Stair; brothers: Howard, Malachi, Edward, Eugene, John (Dub)

She is survived by daughter, Venessa Fox Seivers (David); grandchildren: Chelsea McMasters (Nathan), Evan Seivers (Emily), Mackenzie Fox, Skylar Fox, Jordan Fox; Great grandchildren: Neal McMasters, Fiona McMasters, Kiera McMasters, Sloan Seivers, Venus Seivers, and Mack Seivers.

Onah was blessed with many nieces and nephews that were like her own children to her and, she loved them dearly.

A graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton, Tennessee on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 pm with Dr. Danny Chisholm officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Baptist Church Clinton, P.O. Box 268, Clinton, TN 37717. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
