Former Clinton native Ola Marie Graham Smith passed away on January 2, 2013. She was born in Clinton on July 8, 1928 to Alonzo Fletcher Graham and Mabel Allred Graham. In her youth she was well known in Clinton. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1948 and worked behind the soda counter at Hoskins Drug Store. Ola Marie was very proud of her training in nursing and pursued a short career in that field. In 1969 she married Melvin L. Smith and resided near Atlanta, Georgia until recent years when she relocated to Altoona, Pennsylvania to be near her step-son Dennis Smith and his wife Debbie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Melvin L. Smith, one brother, Roy Leon Graham of Clinton and a sister Alice Edna Graham Mincey also of Clinton. She is survived by one sister, Ella Lou Jane Graham Lorch of Indianapolis, Indiana and a large number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A service will be held at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Tuesday, January 8th, at 1:30 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
