Nancy Lea Drake Overton left this world to meet her Savior on the morning of May 18, 2011 after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born July 9th, 1946, in East Tennessee and lived here, diligently serving the Lord all of her life. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1965, and was first introduced to the Overton family when she was in nursing school as a friend of Rubye Overton. She later married Rubye's son, Larry Overton, Sr. in 1968. They had a son, Larry E. Overton, Jr. Nancy worked faithfully at Knoxville Pediatric Associates for more than 40 years. She was a valuable member of their staff and dearly loved by coworkers and patients. She was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver with the heart of a servant. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lassie Drake and brother Bill Drake. She is survived by her husband Larry Overton, Sr., son Larry Overton, Jr. and wife Leanne and her granddaughters whom she adored, Ashtyn and Tessa Overton. If you wish to honor Nancy, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or East Tennessee Children's Hospital. A receiving of friends will be held at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 6-8pm with funeral following at 8 o'clock .
