Myrtle Parks, age 75, of Briceville, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was born on January 19, 1940 in Roane County, Tennessee to the late Theodore and Mary Brown Ward. Myrtle was a lifetime member of the Laurel Grove Baptist Church in Briceville. She enjoyed fishing, camping, ginsenging and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by husband, Gideon Parks and brother, Charles Ward.

The family will receive friends at Laurel Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5-7PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00PM with the Rev. David White and Audrey Goins officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:15AM and go in funeral procession to the Laurel Grove Cemetery for an 11:00AM interment.
