Mossie Louise Russell, 76, born to the late Mary Jane (Wilson) and Daniel Miracle on August 29, 1948, in Pathfork, Ky, entered into her heavenly home on August 5, 2025. Mossie didn't grow up with a lot, but she always put her faith in God, who provides everything we could ever need. Mossie as a woman of few words, but she loved her family fiercely, and that showed in all her actions. Especially her two granddaughters (Leah and Jayna), whom she loved more than words. They did no wrong, and no one better say otherwise. Mossie loved all things religious, a good yard sale, and all the Hallmark movies (especially the Christmas ones). Mossie was the best mom a girl could ever ask for. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mossie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers (Gibb, Ward, Sid, Britt, Bill), sisters (Colene, Melissa, Betty), two infant sisters (one being named Sudie Katherine), and her husband (Curtis Russell).

Mossie leaves behind one daughter, Lora (Kevin) Gaylor of Clinton, TN, two step sons (Chris and William Russell both of Harlan, Ky), one step daughter (Trichina Townsend of Harlan, Ky) two granddaughters (Leah and Jaynalee) of Clinton, TN, a nephew who she always claimed as her son (Charlie Craig) of Halls, TN, a special sister in law (Christine Miracle) of Jacksboro, TN, two very special nieces she had claimed as her own (Rachel Ramsey of Jacksboro, TN) and (Brittanni Ramsey of Savannah Georgia), one very special niece and nephew she had claimed as her grandchildren (Isaac and Tearaston Craig both of Halls, Tn), and many other special nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Courtyards Senior Living in Oak Ridge for the care and love they have shown Mossie and her family this past year. You will hold a special place in our hearts forever. Also, a big thank you to Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN, which is in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel.
