Obituary

Misty Rose Hankins, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 30.

From childhood, Misty's deep love for animals, particularly horses, shaped her life's path. She found her calling as both a volunteer and team leader at Faith-N-Friends Horse Rescue in Corryton, where she experienced profound peace and joy.

Driven by a strong sense of justice and an equally strong will, Misty built a fulfilling career as a Paralegal with the Knox County Court of Appeals. Her colleagues became her second family, and she was actively pursuing her bachelor's degree with hopes of advancing in the legal field she loved.

Above all, Misty's faith was central to who she was. Misty loved the Lord immensely and was a light in any room, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Misty will be greatly missed by her mother, Kathleen Hankins; fiancé, Isaiah Bailey; sister, Miranda Hankins; maternal grandmother, Victoria Swanson; uncle, Wally Swanson and wife Lynette; aunts, Lisa Thompson and Donna Miller; best friends, Jennifer Luffman and Molly Holt. She is preceded in death by her father, Teddy Hankins.

A celebration of Misty's life will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, 621 S. Charles G. Seivers Blvd., Clinton.

In honor of Misty's passion for horses, donations may be made to Faith-N-Friends Horse Rescue in lieu of flowers.
