Regina (Jeanie) M. Bertram, 83, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her home in
Clinton, Tennessee. She was born in Albion, Illinois on September 13, 1941,
the daughter of James R. and Darlene F. Mauller, and spent her childhood in
Monticello Kentucky.

Jeanie was a 1959 graduating class from Monticello High School, where she
played trombone in the high school band. She was a baptized as a follower
of Christ in the First Christian Church in Monticello, Kentucky. She taught
Sunday School and played piano at New Salem Baptist Church in Clinton,
Tennessee and later attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Knoxville,
Tennessee and then Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton, Tennessee.
She loved sharing Jesus' love through her caring heart and warm smile and
believed in honoring the Lord through serving others.

Jeanie worked for a short period as a substitute teacher at Shinliver
Elementary School until she found her calling on how to serve her
community. She served as the Executive Director at the Anderson County
Health Council for 27 years, where she expanded the county dentil clinic to
help serve those in the county who couldn't afford dental care. Through the
Health Council, she led others to enter the local elementary schools to
educate children on proper dental healthcare. Even after retirement, she
helped organize and support dental clinics providing indigent dental care for
county residents.

Jeanie was also instrumental in supporting the county Healthy Start Program,
which focused on improving health outcomes before, during, and after
pregnancy, and reducing disparities in maternal and infant health. She was
engaged in the management of the Anderson County Life Development
Center, which assisted youth who aged out of foster care with the necessary
tools to start a new time in their lives and instill in them the confidence they
needed to become successful members of society. She was an active
member of the United Way.

In addition to her parents (James R. and Darlene F. Mauller) , she was
preceded in in death by her son, Thomas K. Bertram.

Survivors include:

Her husband, Louis K. Bertram

Two loving sons: Sam (Gwen) Bertram, and Max (Beth Ann) Bertram.

Two siblings: James (Karen) Mauller and Charma (Doral) Ambrose.

Four Grandchildren: Josh Bertram, Alex Bertram, Shelby Bertram and Magnus
Dickinson, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 12,
2025, at the Holley-Gambel Funeral Home in Clinton, Tennessee. Burial will
take place at the Keeny Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky at a later date.
