Mildred Reed Simcox, age 83, of Maryville passed away surrounded by her family on June 5, 2013. She was born on September 29, 1929 to the late Virgil and Meldie Reed in Lake City, Tennessee. Mildred was a member at the Rockford Baptist Church in Rockford, Tennessee for 30 years. After growing up in Lake City, she married Charles Eugene Simcox in 1946. They moved to Knoxville, Tennessee after he returned from Korea. She was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Mildred is in preceded in death by, Daughter, Jody Simcox Young and Sister, Faye Huggins.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1-3PM with the funeral service to follow at 3:00PM with the Rev. Jim Malone officiating.
