Mildred "Sug" Jones, age 91 of Clinton, formerly of Briceville, passed away on February 22, 2019 at the Lantern at Morning Pointe. Mildred was born in Anderson County, TN on April 30, 1927 to the late Jack and Lillian Bolton Scarbrough.  She was saved and baptized as a teenager and was a member of Briceville Baptist Church. In her younger years she was a Bluebird and Campfire Girls leader. Mildred was very active in her community and was instrumental in getting a free health care clinic. She loved telling stories, growing flowers and visiting shut ins. She was well known for being a prankster and having a green thumb. Mildred will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Jones; brothers, Jackie Scarbrough and Ralph Scarbrough; brothers in Laws, Jim White and Shelby Fateley.

The family will receive friends at the Main Street Baptist Church in Rocky Top on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 2-4PM with the service to follow with the Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
