Mildred Sue Cook, age 66, of Claxton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She is free now of all the sickness she has been battling. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Mildred was a member of the Charity Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Shelton and her two brothers Jay Shelton and Howard Shelton; sisters, Judy Sheldton, Heldreth Coward and Mary Buffalow; brother-in-law James D. Loope

Surviving family is her loving husband of 42 years, David M Cook, and her daughter, Tracie E. Elliott and husband Donnie R. Elliott. She left behind the most important people in her life, her wonderful grandsons, Zander Garrett Elliott, age 9, and Zayden Gray Elliott ,age 4, sister, Myrtal Pelfrey and brother-in-laws, Denny Loope and Doyle Loope. Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Sunday, June 22 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Pastor David Seals officiating. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home in Monday, June 23 at 10:30AM and go in funeral procession to the Grandview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00AM interment. www.Holleygamblefh.com
