SFC. Milan Glumac, a resident of Clinton, TN for approximately 11 years, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the age of 94.

He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.K., North Africa, Sicily and Italy, serving under Generals, Eisenhower, Patton, Bradley and Clark. He became an Airborne Soldier and had various assignments with the 82nd Division, 101st in Fort Campbell, KY, 508th AIRCT in Japan 1955, and six years with Special Forces which include a one year tour in Vietnam 1967. Awards received were, ARCOM W/V, and 1 OLC, Bronze Star, Centurion Jump Wings, CIB, Glider Badge, Honorary Jump Wings (Vietnam), Expert Badge (Rifle). He retired with more than 27 years of service.

His wife of 45 years preceded him in death, December 1997. He leaves 2 sons, 1 step-son, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6-8pm at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN. Mr. Glumac will be taken to Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday, April 16 for a 1pm graveside service.
