Michael Thomas
Irwin
Jul 23, 1967 — Apr 27, 2025
Andersonville
Michael Thomas Irwin, age 57, passed away on April 27, 2025, at his residence in Andersonville, Tennessee. He was born on July 23, 1967, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Michael spent his life deeply rooted in the land and community he loved.
A lifelong resident of East Tennessee, Michael was a dedicated employee of Aisin Automotive for 20 years. His strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities were evident in his professional life and on the family farm, where he found his greatest joy. He began milking cows as a young boy and later devoted himself to raising beef cattle and tending to the hayfields. His connection to the land was not just a livelihood but a calling that shaped his daily life and brought him deep fulfillment.
Michael was a faithful follower of Pastor John and Matt Hagee and an Andersonville United Methodist Church member. His values of dedication, humility, and care were reflected in every aspect of his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Janie Braden Irwin; his sister, Milisa Irwin Jones; brother-in-law, Bruce Jones; and niece, Sophia Jones. Sophia held a special place in Michael's heart- his pride and joy-and he was her number one supporter in all things. Their bond was one of deep affection and unwavering encouragement.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Irwin; paternal grandparents, Morrell and Willie Irwin; and maternal grandparents, Jesse and Ruby Braden.
