Mazie Iva "Glass" Andrews

Ms. Iva, born Oct 1,1936 (39 and holding), was rejoined and escorted through the gates of heaven Sunday night Aug 24, 2014 by her loving husband Thomas Andrews. They are both happily residing in the presence of the Lord for all eternity. Ms. Iva had been sick for a while and the Angels had been busy preparing for her. However her absence from us has already left friends and family all in a state of deep sorrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Julie Glass, Husband Thomas C. Andrews, Two brothers, J.W. Glass and wife Shirley, Coy Alford and Wife Lucille, a sister, Lillie Mae Logsdon and Husband Raymond, Brother-in-laws Paul Hoerter, Don Jones and Son-in Law Doug Wampler. She leaves behind her loving family; sisters, Irene Minton and husband Hobert, Dorothy Hoerter, Alene Greer and Husband Charles, Ida Virginia Jones, Geneva Cassidy and Husband Bill, brother, James Glass and Wife Marie. sons Bob Andrews and wife Leslie of Hampstead, NC, Bill Andrews of Hendersonville, NC, and Tim Andrews and fiancé Carlie of Simpsonville, SC; daughters Teresa Doan and husband Larry of Weaverville, NC and Brenda Wampler of Graham. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren; Bobby, Jason, Wesley, Chase, Stephanie, Stephen, Emery, Bruce, Jenna, Krista, Clayton, Matthew and Shelby. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces as well as a very large list of adopted family; too long to list here, that were brought home by all of the above at one time or the other; all of whom knew her simply as Ms. Iva.
She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church of Burlington, N.C.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday evening at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Rev. Larry Janey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 - 7:00 before the service and other times at the residence, 153 Gina Lane, Graham, NC 27253.
Ms. Iva will then be taken to the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, 2827 Highway 116, Lake City, TN 37769 where the family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30 from 1:00-2:00 followed a service in the chapel at 2:00 PM with burial in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City at 3:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Belmont Baptist Church, 3032 Bellemont-Mt. Hermon Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
