Maurice Soles, age 70 of Clinton passed away December 21, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He was one of the original Clinton 12.
Maurice had a love for fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended Clinton High School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Willie Soles and Maria Royston of Anniston, Al; son, Steven Soles

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Lillie; daughters, Cindy Soles, Yvette Cochran, Connie Porter, Mary Soles, Rebecca Soles, Maurisa (Sherri) Elliott, Melissa Soles; one son, Andre Blake; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A host of cousins and friends.


The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2-3-PM at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with funeral at 3:00PM with Rev. Bill Caldwell, Rev. Ernest Scruggs and Pastor Leah Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
