Matthew Roy Leinart, age 34, of the Dutch Valley community in Clinton, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home. Matt was born on July 5, 1980 in Oak Ridge, TN. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1998 and went on to join the United States Army where he became an Army Ranger. Matt served two tours in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dutch Valley. Matt enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved nothing more than spending time with his son, Kandon.
Matt is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Louise Chambers and paternal grandfather, RE Leinart.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top, TN on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Gene Roach officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:30AM at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville for Matt's interment with full military honors by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
