Mary "Rachel" Sherwood, age 79 of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, after suffering from Alzheimer's for several years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she attended with her husband of 58 years, James Sherwood. Rachel never met a stranger and loved everyone. She was an avid bowler, winning many awards and a member of the Red Hat Club. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Mitt and Margaret Walker; sister, Elizabeth Pointer; brother, Harvey Walker.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 6th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Darryl Taylor and Rev. J C Newman officiating.
