Mary Beatty Kerr, age 86 of Clinton passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge. She was born April 11, 1923 in Holcomb, Mississippi. Mary was a member of Blowing Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She loved gardening and cooking and over the years provided her family and friends with delicious vegetables and meals.

She was preceded in death by husband of 38 years, Alvia Kerr; parents, Linnie and Edward J. Beatty; sister, Addie Thompson & husband Robert of Holcomb, Mississippi; brother, Walter Beatty & wife Alma of Jackson, Mississippi.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6-8p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following at 8:00p.m. in the chapel with Rev. David White officiating.

Family & friends will meet on Thursday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside services. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
