Holbrook-Queener, Mary Katherine - 93, of Clinton, TN departed this life on Oct. 25 2010 for her new home with the Lord. She was born June 10, 1917 to Lee and Mary Hill. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking. She was a super basketball player in her youth and enjoyed watching basketball games on television in her later years. She was employed by ORNL for 32 yrs retiring in 1982. Mary was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Michael Holbrook; husbands, Abbott Mayo Holbrook (father of children) and Ralph Queener; sister, Bonnie Bivens; brothers, Claude and Charles Hill; daughter-in-law Brenda Gail Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by daughter, Candace Kay and husband Mark Garrett; sons, Robert Gerald and Phillip Lee Holbrook and wife Betty; sister, Helen Wormsley; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holley Gamble Funeral in Clinton, TN on Oct. 27, 2010 with funeral services immediately following visitation. Rev. Mark Gallaher will direct the funeral services. Family and friends will meet at Holley Gamble Funeral Home at 11:00 Oct. 28, 2010 to proceed to gravesite at Black Oak Baptist Church, Clinton, TN.
