Martin E. Duncan, age 89, of Markham, Illinois originally from Lake City passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. He was born on January 1, 1923 in Lake City, TN and grew up in McVeigh, Kentucky. Martin was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II, a 60 year Mason, and a member of VFW in Tinley Park, IL. Throughout his life he loved to read but most of all to study history. Preceded in death by his parents, Harvel and Vana Duncan; son, Michael David Duncan; brother, Robert Duncan and sister, Wanda Green.

The family will receive friends 10:00-12:30 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His graveside service will follow his visitation at the Norris Memorial Garden with full military honors at graveside.
