Marjorie (Johnson) Seeber
Marjorie was born on May 7, 1939 in Campbell County to parents, Kelly and Martha Johnson. Marjorie was an extremely gifted person especially as a musician and vocalist. She joined with her sisters, Louise and Mary Edith, for several years as the gospel singing "Johnson Sisters". Marjorie and her husband to be (Kenneth) met as teenagers (love at first sight) and later were married at the age of 21. In 1965 Kenneth was ordained as a Baptist minister. Marjorie continued loyally and dedicated to Christ, blessing people's lives and seeing many people come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Marjorie later became ill and had to endure a long extended illness. On January 16, 2016, she received her healing: II Cor. 5:8 - willing to be "absent from the body and to be present with the Lord": Romans 8:23"To wit the redemptions (resurrection) of the body", KJV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Martha Johnson; brothers, Rev. Charles Johnson and Kenneth Johnson; sister, Louise Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Kenneth Seeber of Lake City; sisters, Charlotte Martin and Mary Edith Johnson of Lake City; brother, Robert Johnson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; host of relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and employees of Cumberland Village Genesis Health Care Center for the excellent care and comfort. Also, "Right at Home" of Knoxville, especially caretaker, Cassidy Bible for her excellent care, love and dedication.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. David White and Rev. James Lane officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, January 22nd at 1:00PM at Oak Grove Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamble.com
