Obituary

Maribeth Susan Taylor

February 21, 1952 – February 3, 2025

Maribeth Susan Taylor, 72, of Knoxville, Tennessee, died February 3, 2025. She was the daughter of the late George Hoholak and Winifred Hawkins. Maribeth was a devout follower of Jesus Christ, a loyal and faithful wife (aka Sweetheart), a good and loving mother, and a very involved Grammie who more than embraced that role. She loved her family and cherished their company more than anything else. She served God alongside her husband in the role of "Pastor's Wife" for over forty years. She cared for the hurt, outcast, forgotten, and the rejected. Maribeth was known by many things to many people, sister, sweetheart, mom, Grammie, Pastor's wife, teacher, counsellor, friend, prankster, and troublemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dexter Taylor, four children Matthew Taylor (Carolee), Jonathan Taylor (Jennifer), Jessica Taylor, Carole Evans (David), ten grandchildren (Andrew, Nathan, Josiah, Chloe, Claire, Abigail, Charlotte, Macie, Jackson, and Eli), her brother Scooter Crotts and several nieces, nephews, and cousins

She is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Donnie Crotts, and two children she lost during pregnancy.
