Madalyne Mae Webster Johnson, born August 20, 1921 Clinton, TN, went home to her Heavenly Father's house March 1, 2011. It was the privilege of her children, sons-in-law, grandchildren and many friends to be at her bedside at her daughter's home in Kingston while waiting for her departure on the journey for which she had prepared for over 80 years. The love of God has been the theme of her life and the many songs she has written, some of which were published and recorded. Many thanks to the wonderful people and facilities that cared for her during her transition from the brilliant and creative lady she was through the side trip of Alzheimer's for the last few years.
Left behind are her children Charles "Smokey" Johnson of Kingston, Charlotte "Lottie" (Jerry) Bridges of Andersonville, Madalyne "Bud" (Jimmy) Robbins of Kingston. Grandchildren Kenny Johnson and daughters Christian, Renee; Cheri Beth (Don) Floyd and sons Stephen, William, Jonathan, missionaries in Papua New Guinea; Cynthia Bridges, Knoxville; Tyler (Lora) Robbins, Charlotte, NC; Tim (Danni) Robbins, Oak Ridge.
Predeceased by parents Arch and Minnie Mae (Silvey) Webster, husband James Marion, siblings Hazel (Newman) Ridenour, Thelma Stowe, Bruce, Charles, Bill and daughter-in-law Carolyn Johnson. Surviving siblings Roy (Gladys) Webster and Eunice Rentz, Clinton, brother-in-law Dan Stowe, Toccoa, GA. Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends including special friend Jackie Robinson.

Funeral services will be Friday March 4, 7pm at Clinton First Wesleyan Church with Reverend Sam Condon officiating. Body will lie in state at the church beginning at noon with receiving of friends from 5-7pm. Family and friends will meet at the church at 10:30am on Saturday March 5 and will proceed to Sunset Cemetery for 11am graveside services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clinton First Wesleyan Church for the Papula New Guinea ministry of the Floyd family.
