Louise Freels Reed resident of South Clinton, longtime member of Memorial Methodist Church of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Born November 5, 1918 and raised in the Wheat community, Louise was a teacher at Claxton Elementary for 32 years where she also served as Girls Basketball Coach. Louise is preceded in death by parents William and Evelyn Qualls Freels, husband Robert Reed, siblings Bill Freels and Margaret McKelvey, and great granddaughter Makenzie Starr Reed.

Special Caregiver Cathy Smith

Louise loved her flowers, working in her garden and bird watching. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. Receiving friends will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 3:30 to 4:30PM with services following. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church Youth Ministries, 323 North Main Street, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
