Lou Ann Jackson, age 86 of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at her residence. She was born on February 4, 1932 to the late Everett and Tennessee Adkins Spurlock in Spurlocksville, WV. She was a member of Briceville First Baptist Church where she loved attending while she was able. She was a gentle little woman who enjoyed working in her flowers, doing crafts, and working puzzles. She loved her dog Missy. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: husband, Leonard Jackson, grandson, Brian Hooks, son-in-law James Hodge, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by: children, Linda Pennington and husband Tom, Carol Hodge, Bonnie Hooks and husband Roger, Leonard "Buddy" Jackson, Jr. and wife Charlene, Bobby Jackson and wife Joan, Donna Swartzfager and husband Leonard; grandchildren, Kim Davis and husband Mike, Pam Wilson and husband Steve, Rogie Hooks and wife Beth, James Stewart, Jeffrey Hodge, Bobby Jackson, Jr. and wife Anna, Richard "Buddy" Jackson and wife Kara, Nicole Wagner and husband Lenny, Crystal Holmes and husband Todd, Jeremy Norris, Joshua Norris, Missi Becker Swartzfager, Jenelle Swartzfager, Christine Russo, Patricia Russo; great-grandchildren, Deanna, Christopher, Tyler, Amanda, Molly, Emilee, Tiffany, Dana, Megan, Kyle, Brandon, Reiley, Colbey, Hailey, Madison, Kalli, Camden, Cayson, Dominic, Derek, Evan, Owen, JJ, Jackson, Ryan, Cody, Victoria, Christopher, Joel, and Emily; great-great-grandchildren, CJ, Penelope, and Brinlee; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, Briceville First Baptist Church, and City Hills Church for their kindness and compassion during this time.
The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2pm with the Rev. Tim Russell, Pastor Danny Lawson, and Rev. George Asbury officiating. Her interment will follow at Campbell Memorial Gardens. www.holleygamble.com
