Lonnie Lee Braden, age 71 of Rocky Top, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 18, 1946 to the late Hurstle and Blanche Baird Braden in Anderson County. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching western movies. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Arita Ballard Braden; brothers, Ray Braden and Billy Joe Braden; and sister, Charlotte Withers.

He is survived by: children, Greta Byrge and husband Jackie; Tobie Braden and wife Allison, Samantha Braden; Heather Drake and husband Mark; sister, Suenell Saunders and husband Mark; brothers, Hurstle "Huck" Braden and wife Carolyn, Nickey Braden and wife Teresa; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with the Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating. His graveside service will be on Friday, September 28, 2017 at 11am at the Indian Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery. www.holleygamble.com
