Obituary

Linda Petrowski Scarbrough, age 67, of Clinton passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Linda was born in Ripley, Mississippi on September 11,1946, moved to the Claxton Community in 1953 and graduated from Clinton High School in 1964. She attended First Baptist Church of Clinton and was the assistant librarian at Clinton Middle School until her illness. She was a former manager of Hardees in Clinton and prior to Hardees she drove for Landreth Bus Service transporting kids to Anderson County Schools. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her family, working on her family genealogy, and coordinating concessions at Clinton Middle School events. Linda's many contributions were mother, sister, community worker, great friend, travel companion, listener, and talker. But her greatest contribution came easiest of all, simply being Nana. Her strength of character was obvious for all that knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ella Petrowski; sister, Bonnie Wilson and brother, Mark Petrowski.
