Linda Ann Payne, age 83, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge.  Linda was born December 13, 1940, in Bristol, Virginia, to the late Earl and Mary Carroll.  Throughout her life, she loved to read, crochet, and knit.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Payne, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Billy Payne, Jr. & wife Katheryn, Sheri Plemmons & husband Kevin, Mary Partin, and Linda Byrd all of Clinton; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life service, and she will be buried with her husband, Billy J. Payne, Sr., at Grandview Memorial Garden.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
