Obituary

Linda Blaker, affectionately known as Aunt Ett, was born September 1, 1936, in Elk Valley, Tennessee, to Lawrence and Clara Jeffers. She spent much of her life in Anderson County, where she and her husband, William (Bill) Blaker, made their home. Linda was proud to be one of the first women bus drivers for Anderson County Schools and was known as a loyal and loving friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, three brothers, and dear friends Faye Carroll, Irene Moss, and "Little" Helen.

Linda leaves behind nieces Debbie Lively of Coalfield, Tennessee, and Donna Berquist (Marty) of Lenoir, North Carolina; nephews Keith Jeffers (Amy) of Clinton, Tennessee, and Danny Jeffers (Carol) of Abingdon, Virginia; as well as close cousins Paul Bridges (Pat) and Annette Bridges Wright.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Linda's devoted caregivers, Wava Simpson, Pat Bridges, and Tiffany Brown, who became like family and brought joy and companionship to her life. She was also deeply blessed by the close friendship of her neighbors, Rodney and Michelle Collins, and their sons, Bryce and Blane.

Linda will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
