Liddie E. Earley Lane, 86, Clinton, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Mamaw) and great-grandmother. A member of Greenway Baptist Church of Clinton.

She was reunited with her husband and love of her life Walter (Walt) Lane, parents Vance and Zenia Earley; brothers Ernest and Marion Earley; sisters Lucy Bradshaw and Nora Richards.

Survivors: Daughters, Wanda Light and husband David of Heiskell; Lorene (Rennie) Elliott of Clinton and former son-in-law Charles Elliott Sr of Clinton; Dottie Giles and husband Lawrence of Heiskell; grandchildren: Debbie Light Beets, Donna Light, Lydia (Darlene) Bunch, Sherry Murphy, Beth Martin, Jerry Giles, Shawna Morgan of Florida, Charles Elliott Jr. and Danielle Null;
nine great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws Alice Webber, Norma Lane and brother-in-law Jay and wife Judy Lane; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to her most special friend Dot Powers and son, Dr. Tim Powers whom Liddie considered a honorary grandson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 6-8p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service following at 8:00 with Rev. Danny Light and Rev. Darrell Griffis officiating.

Interment will be Monday, March 29th at 10:00a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
