Leslie Carden Fielden, age 82 of Clinton, went to be with with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 28, 2012. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1948. After 35 years of service as a field engineer, he retired in 1992 from National Cash Register Company (NCR). He was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton for 58 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr., and Ruthie Carden Fielden; brothers, Jody, Carl and Robert, Jr (Bob) Fielden; sister, Juanita Fielden Doane; son Jerry Fielden. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma "Jean" Longworth Fielden; daughters, Shanna Fielden Lockhart and husband John and Cheryl Fielden Loy and husband Tim; daughter in-law and husband, Kelly Fielden Miles and Dave; grandchildren, Zachary Braswell and wife Meagan, Blake Loy, Tanner Loy and Tayler Lockhart; great granddaughter, Isabelle Braswell; brother, Glenn and Carolyn Fielden; sisters, Helen Alley Crumpley and Mary Ruth Mason; sister in-law, Bette Mills Fielden; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive freinds Thursday, November 1st from 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Dr. Mike Thompson officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, November 2nd at 11:00AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Fuberal HOme is in charge of arrangements.
