Leroy Sims was born July 14, 1923 in Gate City, Virginia to Worley and Laura Sims. He went to join his wife, Dorothy, on Friday, March 21, 2014. Leroy moved to Clinton in the early 1940's and worked in various areas in Oak Ridge from its inception until he retired in 1962. He was a proud member of Local 384 Ironworkers in Knoxville.

Leroy leaves behind a daughter, Alice Faye and her husband Ron; sister in-law, Erma; brother in-law, Carl (Barb); nephews, Von (Linda), Hillard (Lisen), Carl (Deb), Kenneth (Janet), and Dick; nieces, Brenda (Ed), Linda (Curtis), Joyce (Don), Juanita (Roger) and Mary Lou; several cousins, many good friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 31, 2014, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 1-2 PM. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Hillard Harless and Rev. Kenneth Hill officiating.
