Obituary

Laura Edna Nolan, age 91, of the Claxton Community passed away peacefully, January 18, 2021 at Morning Pointe in Clinton.  Laura was born in Sevier County to Walter and Lily King.  She was a lifelong member of Riverview Baptist Church.  She also volunteered at Oak Ridge Hospital for approximately 12 years in the Hospitability House and Gift Shop. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Bill Nolan; parents, Walter and Lily King; sons, Neal Nolan; brothers, Wayne, LeRoy, Floyd, Boyd, Eugene, Billy, and the Rev. Clell King; sisters, Bea Keener, Betty Husky, and step mother, Nola King.

She is survived by daughter, Sue & husband David McKenzie; grandson, Eric Nolan, Brent & wife Erin McKenzie, Patrick & wife Emily McKenzie; granddaughter, Suzette Nolan; great grandchildren, Mason, Molly, Stone, & Kylee McKenzie; several nieces and nephews; her very special friend and neighbor, Joyce Cabe; very special caregiver, Sharla Rundle; special friend, Ginger Stout.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Morning Pointe, who took excellent care of her.

The family will have a graveside service 2:00 pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Hicks officiating Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Shriners Hospital 1900 Richmond Road Lexington, KY 40502. www.holleygamble.com
