Lanney Harold Mardis, age 63 of Ocala, FL, passed away August 16, 2015 at Legacy Hospice House. He was a Clinton High School graduate and served in the United States Army. He worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for Defense Contractors in Oak Ridge, TN. He was preceded in death by special granddaughter Shelby Mardis and parents, Clarence and Alma Mardis.
He is survived by children Misty Mardis, grandson, Cole Owen, Tara Rose and family, Eric Rose and family; brothers, Ronald Mardis and wife Sue of Clinton, TN, Al Mardis and wife Francis of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Sue Martin and husband Skip of Ocala, FL, Linda Hart of Palm Bay, FL; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Legacy Hospice for their support in Lanney's final days.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 22nd from 1-2 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will begin at 2 o'clock with Jimmy Duncan officiating.
