Lemuel Edison Phillips, age 83, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Lemuel was a WWII Veteran. Mr. Phillips was ordained in April of 1960 and a Pastor in Detroit, MI before retiring to Tennessee. He was a member of the Clear Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Phillips enjoyed reading and gardening. Lemuel is preceded in death by parents, David Lemuel & Nora Posey Phillips; wife, Beulah Phillips; Son, Daryl Phillips; Sister, Lola Lambo; and Brother, Glenn Phillips

The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 6-8 PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 10:30 AM and go in funeral precession to the Leach Cemetery for an 11AM graveside. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of all arrangements.
