Kenny Shafer, age 68 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at his home. Kenny was born on February 4, 1943 in Walton, West Virginia to the late Charles and Myrtle Shafer. Kenny was a member of the Old Way Baptist Church in Clinton where he enjoyed attending as much as possible. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Buck, and Jerry Shafer;

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Danny Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:30AM and go in funeral procession to the Oak Grove Cemetery for a 11:00AM graveside service.
