Obituary

Kenneth John Helle, age 90, of Clinton, Tennessee passed away peacefully Saturday, December 7, 2024, at home with his children. Ken was of the Lutheran Faith. He embellished life, loved his family, the outdoors, and enjoyed sports (football, basketball, baseball, softball, golf), especially, those at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the University of Washington. He also enjoyed following the Seattle Seahawks. Ken retired from the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN after 32 years of employment. Prior employment included the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge, TN; Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA; Weyerhaeuser Timber Company in Tacoma, WA; and Factory Mutual Engineering in San Francisco, CA. Ken was a veteran of the US Air Force.

As a dad, he was warm, loving, gentle, playful, and funny. As a brother, he was always there whenever needed with love and support. Ken will always be the sweetest loving husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

Ken was preceded in death by his lovely bride, Susie Helle; brother, Ollie Gene Helle; and parents, Ole and Jonella Helle.

Several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Chaplain Clay Mulford officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
