Kelsey Bistline Heiner passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Oak Ridge, TN, at the age of 76. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stephen F. Heiner, and her two daughters Cameron Fort and Ford Heiner. Kelsey was born on January 1, 1949, in Columbia, SC to the late C.H. "Bike" Bistline and Majorie Bistline. She grew up in Columbia and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Salem College in Winston Salem, NC. While in college, she met Steve who was studying at nearby Wake Forest University. Kelsey and Steve married in 1971 in South Carolina and began raising their 2 daughters before moving to Oak Ridge, TN in 1995. Kelsey worked in financial services as a licensed broker's assistant for several years while living in South Carolina. After moving to Oak Ridge, she worked for many years at Willow Ridge Garden Center retiring in 2018. She was known for her creativity and enjoyed hobbies including gardening, interior design, sewing, and collecting art.
She is also survived by her granddaughter, Ann Foster Fort, her grandsons, Marshall Winnubst and Duncan Fort V, and her two sisters, Mary Bullis and Peggy Larus. The family invites friends and loved ones to the Receiving of Friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN on Saturday, January 25 between 2 – 3 pm ET followed by the service at 3 pm ET. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Alzheimer's research or a charity of your choice may be made in Kelsey's memory. www.holleygamble.com
