Kelly Matthew Dick went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025, at the age of 42. A devoted husband, son, brother, friend, and proud veteran, Matt lived a life marked by service, faith, and compassion.

He is survived by his wife Brandi Dick; stepchildren Dana Wood, Olivia Palmer, Erica Helton, and Gabriel Palmer; step grandchildren Lucas and Landon Bar, and Bryer and Noah Vincil; his mother Terry Hooks (stepfather Ed Hooks); father Gilbert Dick; brother Joshua Dick (Vanessa); sister Rachel Wynne (Brett); Nieces and nephews Evan, Elyse, Caden, Avery, and Price; lifelong friend  Brandon Carroll; and his beloved beagle Ellie; along with many other family members and friends.

Matt served honorably as a tanker in the Army National Guard. After his military service, he devoted time to mentoring and encouraging   homeless or troubled individuals—those he felt called to love deeply. His heart for the broken was matched by a sharp wit, and those closest to him fondly called him a "diamond in the rough." The final years of his life reflected a powerful journey of healing, faith, and love.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September  19, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN at 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Matt's name to the Wounded Warrior Project .
