Obituary

"Into Your hands, I commend my spirit." Kelley Ilagan, age 47, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. She was born in Knoxville and raised in Anderson County. She was the daughter of Eugene Elmer and Patsy Berney. Kelley is survived by her adoring husband, Edwin; her fur children; brother, Casey Berney (Michael Turner); sister -in-laws, Marie Jobson (Owen) & Leslie Adams (Jerrod); nephews, Elliott, Noah & Nicholas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Drs. Timoteo and Estela Ilagan; nieces, Elizabeth, Emily & Lauren; Uncle Jack Berney (Margie); Aunts Louise McKinney, Doris Smith (Frank), Lola Berry (Bill); and many Berney cousins.

Kelley was a graduate of Anderson County High School '87, and a Graphic Design major at the University of Tennessee. She worked at Medic for many years. As an active member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, Kelley was a lover and follower of Christ as she was merciful, loving and forgiving. With a gift of an angel's voice, Kelly would often sing at Fairview Free Will Baptist and her Uncle and Aunt's nearby church. She was extremely talented in arts & crafts and gardening. She had a beautiful soul; lover of all creatures, great and small; loving, faithful wife, daughter and sister. We will miss you more than you can imagine.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5-7 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 14, at 11:00 am at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Interment at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery will follow the funeral service.

Memorial donations may be made out to Young-Williams Animal Center (www.young-williams.org) in lieu of flowers.
