Kathryn Thomas Ramsey, of Clinton, TN died peacefully March 17, 2021. Born and raised in Toledo Ohio, she graduated high school from Maumee Country Day School and received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toledo. As a teacher of physical education and science at Glenwood Elementary School and Clinton Elementary School, Kathy taught generations of students, many of whom still remember her as their favorite teacher. She received the Tennessee Teacher of the Year award in 1978.  She will be remembered for her generosity, kind spirit, her sense of humor, and the ability to make others laugh.

She was preceded in death by her father Lewis Edward Thomas and mother Elinda Patricia Grafton Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Jim Ramsey, her sons Chris Ramsey (Julie) and Geoff Ramsey (Elizabeth Key), her grandchildren Kaitlin, Megan, and Will Ramsey, and sisters Linda Collins of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Stephanie Pawuk of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Deborah Thomas of Florence, Massachusetts.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to her memory be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of one's choice.
