Judith A. Courtney, age 74 of Clinton, passed away September 20, 2011 at her home. She was born April 18, 1937 in Coalmont, TN. Judith enjoyed reading and working with her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard C. and Katharine Parmley Lewis and two sisters, Rachel Kessell and Adele Norris.
She is survived by her husband, John Courtney; sons, Samuel R. Courtney and wife Amy and John Courtney II and wife Gina; daughters, Katharine Patterson, Teresa Evans and husband Boyce and Rhonda Gentry and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Rachel Patterson, William Evans, Justin McKamey, Gregory McKamey, Aleisa McKamey, Brittany Yawn, Alexandra Courtney, Katie Courtney, Abby Courtney and Ryan Courtney; 4 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held in Dunlap, TN for Judith. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
